UPDATE: Same Day GP Care

IMPORTANT UPDATE on the previously communicated Same Day Care proposals from NWL NHS …

I have been informed by our Practice Manager that the proposals for Same Day GP Care have been postponed for (at least) a year, pending further discussion and consultation.

However I propose that we still discuss this at our Open Meeting on 20/03, so we are in a position to input quickly to any forthcoming consultation.… more >>>

Join Diabetes UK South East Coast and London for an online event for people living with and affected by type 2 diabetes, plus healthcare professionals.

We will be joined by Abby Ixer, Diabetes Specialist Dietitian at East Kent Hospitals Foundation Trust, who will be discussing diet and diabetes ‘myth busting’ and healthy eating guidelines.

Measles

The UK Health Security agency (UKHSA) has declared a national health incident due to the rising number of cases of measles.

The increase is brought about by the low take-up of the MMR vaccination with a country average of only 85% (and as low as 75% in London) of children starting school being fully vaccinated – far below the required 95%.… more >>>
