Barnabas Patient Voices Group Rules

All online communications for the group are bound by the following basic rules.

  1. Purpose. This website is for Barnabas Patient Voices, the patient group for Barnabas Medical Centre in Northolt, West London.
    The group’s aim is to discuss matters relating to Barnabas Medical Centre, local healthcare in Ealing, and to facilitate communication between patients and the Practice.
  2. Membership. Membership is open to all patients, carers of patients, prospective patients and staff of Barnabas Medical Centre.
    To join you must be a real person; have an interest in Barnabas Medical Centre; and answer three simple questions when you register.
  3. Respect. Treat others as you would wish them to treat you:
    • Be kind and courteous.
    • Respect everyone’s privacy.
    • Confidentiality must be respected at all times.
    • No hate speech or bullying.
    • No promotions, commercial advertisements or spam.
  4. Prohibitions. Communications MUST NOT:
    • Discuss an individual’s care.
    • Identify patients or Practice staff without their permission.
    • Request or give medical advice or treatment.
    • Bring Barnabas Medical Centre or the NHS into disrepute.
    • Promote fake news or views for which there is no scientific basis.
  5. Infringement of the Rules. Contributions which infringe these rules will be removed without warning. Persistent offenders will be banned.
